So I am collecting all the Johnny Cash American Recordings and in one he does his own cover version of Nick Cave’s “Mercy Seat” and that song is so haunting that I have to not listen to it for weeks between hearing it. Nick Cave writes a good lyric.
He’s one of my favorites.
Just talking about it has it rolling around my head again. Dang it.

I was having this same discussion with my wife last night. She kept calling Luke Cage, Nick Cage and I said don’t forget to throw in Nick Cave to really mess with it. So this picture was perfect timing.
