I Ran Mars 244

I’m sure Rachel E.S. Walton will be pleased to hear her Mars 244: the Liberation of Sisyphus game went very well. Good table, 50/50 split of Montsegur 1244 veterans and noobs, all the sad stories.

It went surprisingly fast and smooth, even with six players. I only cracked the whip a little! I think with just a little refinement (notes in a few days, Rachel!), this is going to be a marquee freeform event. Super replayable; this one didn’t feel much like my first go at all, although I’m looking forward to trying it again so I can keep trying new characters.

Early start tomorrow, catch y’all later.

I founded the Indie Game Reading Club in 2010. I've written and developed RPGs since the mid-90s, now I mostly talk about playing them.

  1. A fantastic game — more immediate and accessible than its inspiration, and a cast that rocked the super sads. So glad I camped the BBC site during signup saturday so I could grab a spot!
