Heroquest
After unearthing this old treasure there was no way I’d just let it sit there! The wizard and the barbarian survived the depths of The Maze and got out with a little money.
It’s exactly as tactically complex as my daughter can manage right now: move and do a thing. She played the wizard, which is definitely the hardest class, and managed all the spell reading fairly well. I think mostly she memorized her powers, also a good solution.

A good challenge game, i take it is?
I only played this a few times, but I was a merciless killer GM.
Point of order: how would you handle a summon that calls up more enemies than can fit into the room?

Oooh. Wiz War is another good one. We used to play it when Nova was 4? She couldn’t read the spell cards, but memorized all the pictures as we went.
