We’re Up For a Bloggie (Bloggy?)

So Prismatic Wasteland nominated a piece from the Indie Game Reading Club for the 2024 Bloggies, hosted this year by sachagoat. This is the … third year, I think, of doing it. Being a predominantly OSR-oriented event The Bloggies have passed under my radar a couple times now. But here we are, nominated. It’s a nice feeling! Now we’re paying attention.

The piece that was nominated was Deep Dive: Stonetop. It appeared on Patreon more than a year ago, January 24th, 2024. It’s a good piece and I’m still proud of the work. You can read it here on Patreon again if you’re interested.

Anyway! Recognition is nice and we’ve faced a lot of terrific creators, and now we’re in the Final Four. I strongly encourage my readers to check out everything that’s been nominated — I’ve been enjoying them all quite thoroughly. If you feel so inclined to support the Indie Game Reading Club, the form is here: https://forms.gle/ggK1Mxv1hcXMa3Me7

We’ll be back in a week or two with some stuff I played at IGRCon 2025! The big winner so far has been Nathan Paoletta‘s Trouble for Hire, a really interesting GMless game about 70s exploitation movies, a wandering antihero, and an elaborate economic clockwork that makes the whole thing run.

  1. Your review is what got me from “never heard of this” to “I’ve bought it” within about a day or so of your post going up.

Tomorrow is session 17 of our Stonetop game, and it is proving to be an amazing experience.

  2. Amazing! I just started a second game of it here for my family. Very, very few games get to my table a second time.
