Sagas of the Icelanders
There’s something really satisfying about wrapping a game up at its natural conclusion, rather than waiting until I’m at the fuck this game point.
Mote details later, with thoughts about the long game. I’m not sure what to do with myself when I’m not filled with regret and self recriminations about ending the game badly or too early or late.
Ending a game well is an art that I am still attempting to master.
In other words… kudos!
I’m all ears.
As opposed to the “Oh, yeah, I guess we were playing that game,” way of stopping.
Only ever happened twice for me.
Those conclusion dovetailed nicely with my magpie-nature of always wanting to play the new shiny, so my crowd now does our best to aim for semi-structured game arcs. It’s very nice.
