This week has been a reminder that my posts are always strictly my own opinion and apply only to my own life and experiences. I’m not in the business of handing out universal truths. These are just my observations.
I shouldn’t be surprised when I see hackles go up after I post without the IMOs and IMEs and other soothing noises. I get it! I don’t know why folks are wired that way (IME!) but sure, it’s easy (for me, wouldn’t want to speak for you) to read the absence of disclaimers as, I dunno, a delicious intellectual challenge, a supernerd Octagon where only one Final And Absolutely True idea remains standing.
So please don’t read me that way. Shoving endless soothing noises into my writing is exhausting and it makes for shitty flow. Like that paragraph above.
I really have no interest at all in an Octagon death match. I’m just talking about me.
