I’ve been playing Band of Blades for nearly a year now, and I LOVE it.
But I keep coming back to this review. My experience is/was completely different, yet I totally get how this could have happened, and I am asking myself if it could have happened to me. Not with the same group. But with another? Perhaps, since Band of Blades relies not only on the GM, but on everyone.

The best tip I can give, is to split mission and campaign phase. One week, we have a mission, the next week, we have the related campaign phase. Yes, this is why we are still playing this campaign after almost a year. But this is why we have a lot of role play in our campaign as well.

But of course, it only works, if players step forward and say: “I want scene XY with character A and C to show whatever.”
